SLEWING CRANE

SLEWING CRANE COURSE AND TICKET:

This course is a competency – based training program that allows students to complete both the formal and informal requirements of the licence all at MAJOR’s simulated worksites. Students are required to be trained to a level suitable to achieve all elements necessary of the assessment instrument. The course includes Training, Log Book, Training Plan, Assessment, and Manual.

Training times are from 6:00am to 3:00pm.

COURSE DURATION:

The Slewing Crane course is competency based and can take up to 40-100 nominal hours to complete; however this is dependent on each applicant. Some participants may be able to complete this course before this time frame and some participants may take a little longer, there are no additional fees or discounts on the course fees should this occur.  Courses are scheduled Monday to Friday and most students complete during this time.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

• Be able to read and write basic English (Workplace Health and Safety
  Requirement)
• Be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Provide two forms of identification
• Wear steel-cap safety boots or work boots each day of the course.
• We recommend sun protection – Hat, long sleeves, long pants.
