C.O.R. (CHAIN OF RESPONSIBILITY)
Over many years the onus for road transport companies to operate safely has been placed squarely at the driver’s feet. The chain of responsibility concept has changed this and targets persons who put drivers’ and other lives at risk, and/or gain an unfair competitive advantage for breaking the law.
The Road Transport Reform & Compliance Bill is a bill that gives teeth to the existing OH&S legislation and allows sweeping changes and authority to Police; Transport Officials and State Authorities to apply these laws. The Compliance and Enforcement Bill, has been instigated in Queensland 2006.
This includes, but is not limited to;
- Primary producers, Mainlining, Manufacturers
- Retailers, Importers, Exporters
- Commodity traders, Waste, Recyclers
- Consignors, Consignees, Packers
- Dispatchers, Call Centres, Loaders, Drivers
- Managers, CEO’s, and Directors.
- All other parties involved in road transport.
