PRE-EMPLOYMENT &/OR DRIVE EVALUATIONS

At Major, we have recognised the need for driver/operator evaluations for employers and those seeking employment within the transport/construction industry. Whether you are an employer seeking to gain peace of mind before hiring a new staff member or you are a person looking to attach proof to your CV of your ability to drive/operate safely and competently, Major can help.

We have designed a comprehensive driving and/or operating evaluation program that incorporates both theory knowledge required for jobs as well as demonstration of practical ability. The process is designed to evaluate skills, habits, other vehicle interaction behaviour and more to give an indication of a person’s capability to drive / operate heavy vehicles or plant. Evaluations include:

• Pre-checklist
• Pre drive check
• Vehicle inspection
• Basis road/legislative law
• PPE
• Basic operation
• Technical maneuvers
• Attitude and technique
• Economic use of vehicle

At completion, a written report is supplied if requested along with a certificate of completion.

DURATION:
Are conducted one on one and take between 2 – 4 hrs.
We find it necessary to conduct evaluations over any extended timeframe to ensure that a true evaluation of a person’s ability is shown.

DESIGNED FOR:
This process is designed to provide a report to employers and/or drivers/operators about the skills of candidates for employment positions. Ultimately this will help to provide an understanding of current training needs for current employees.
