MULTI COMBINATION (MC)
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO GET THIS LICENCE?
- You must have held an open or provisional class HR (Heavy Rigid) or HC (Heavy Combination) licence for 12 continuous months or more.
- You must successfully complete one of the training programs below.
Major Operator and Driver Training Service is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which run appropriate courses that are nationally recognised qualifications. Training, assessment and qualifications of the MC course are conducted by Major at our facilities.
HR LICENCE HOLDERS:
- Multi-Combination Course – Up to 2 1/2 days competency-based one-on-one program. (A Company Group option is available – max 5 students.)
HC LICENCE HOLDERS:
- Multi-Combination Course – 1 day competency-based one-on-one program. (A Company Group option is available – max 5 students.)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This course provides truck options of either*:
- 420HP Volvo FH12 with a 14 speed synchromesh gear box
- 450HP Hino 700 18 speed Road Ranger gear box
- 420HP MAN automatic gearbox (for open licence holders and those who pass pre-assessment)
- Kenworth Areodyne Cab-Over 18 speed Road Ranger Gearbox
- Kenworth bonneted 19 speed Road Ranger Gearbox
*Site dependant – not all trucks available at all sites
You MUST be able to use a Road Ranger gearbox before you can attend the MC course or the Heavy Combination training.
- New South Wales licence holders will need to check with the RTA (Roads & Traffic Authority of NSW) for additional requirements prior to commencement of training.)
