Dump Truck Course

COURSE CONTENT

Delivery: students are supplied with a workbook and activities to complete. There is a written test and practical tasks to complete. Students are also issued with a Pre Course exercise Book which is equivalent to a day's theory training. Students will be asked to spend a day going through the exercise book prior to commencing their course. The course structure and elements to be covered are:

  • Plan and prepare
  • Conduct machine preoperational checks
  • Operate truck
  • Load, transport and tip materials
  • Carry out driver maintenance
  • Clean up

Methods of assessment Assessment must satisfy the endorsed assessment guidelines of the Building and Construction industry's Civil Construction Training Package and relevant NOHSC standards where they apply.

On completion of course, student will receive a statement of attainment in partial completion of a full National Qualification: BCC30607 Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations)

DATES & TIMES:

Courses are available every Monday and Thursday. Times are from 06.30am to 3.00pm each day and more courses can be scheduled based on Demand.

COURSE DURATION:

The Dump Truck course is competency based. Some participants may however require more time, there are no additional fees or discounts on the course fees should this occur.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:


    * Be able to read and write Basic English (Workplace Health & Safety
       Requirement).
    * Minimum of 18 years of age (Workplace Health & Safety Requirement).
    * Provide two forms of identification.
