TLIF2010A advised for Drivers

TLIF2010A combined with TLIF3063A advised for Managers & Schedulers

This program informs Drivers and Managers/Schedulers with the knowledge to assist them to comply with the Fatigue Management rules effective 29th September 2008. It provides drivers and operational staff with the skills and knowledge needed to manage personal fatigue effectively in heavy vehicle truck driving.

1 Day course

COURSE TIMES:

BFM courses are scheduled monthly

Times are 7.30am – 5.00pm

PLEASE BE AWARE:

This course may be taken at any time, but for access to the extended driving hours under BFM/AFM, a driver must also be employed by an employer (or yourself as owner driver) who is registered as a BFM/AFM operator and has a BFM/AFM number. This requires being NHVAS accredited (including audit of the company’s risk management arrangements for fatigue). This accreditation is not required for a person to obtain the qualifications referred to here.

TARGET POPULATION:

Drivers of heavy vehicles (12 tonnes and over) driving more than 100km from their ‘Driving Base’ and drivers of commercial buses (with a seating capacity of more than 12 adults including the driver) (QLD; Over 200km from base). Managers and schedulers in the ‘Chain of Responsibility’.

FATIGUE MANAGEMENT COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be able to read and write Basic English (Workplace Health & Safety
  • Requirement) and successfully pass an LLN Assessment
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Current Drivers licence preferred
  • Provide two forms of identification
  • Wear covered footwear to course
