Enter and Work in Confined Spaces - RIIOHS202A

A ‘confined space’ is an enclosed or partially enclosed space which is at atmospheric pressure during occupancy and not intended primarily as a place of work.

Examples of confined spaces include:

  • Storage tanks
  • Tank cars
  • Process/ pressure vessel
  • Boilers, other tank-like compartments;
  • Pits
  • Degreasers
  • Pipes
  • Sewers
  • Sewer pump stations including wet and dry wells, shafts and ducts.

Many other types of structures may also meet the definition of a confined space.

Full Training course from start to finish
1 day Classroom course

Option 2 – Confined Spaces with Breathing Apparatus - RIIOHS202A

For people requiring Oxygen assistance in Confined Spaces
2 day Classroom and practical course

2 Day classroom course

MAJOR recommends that persons who attend initial training in confined space entry should undertake refresher training every 18 months – 2 years from the initial course completion.


Heights Course Requirements:

  • Be able to read and write Basic English (Workplace Health & Safety
    Requirement) and successfully pass an LLN Assessment
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Current Drivers licence preferred
  • Provide two forms of identification.
