This training package was developed by CPSISC and DEWHA and has been designed to assist insulation installers in the construction industry. The training aims to achieve national consistency in installation by a range of installers.
People who successfully complete the training will be eligible to receive a statement of attainment against the following units of competency:
- CPCCOHS2001A Apply OH&S requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
- CPCCPB3014A Install Batt insulation products*
- CPCCM1006A Work Safely at Heights
Mapping the units:
CPCCOHS2001A Apply OH&S requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry represents a pre requisite unit for most units at the AQTF 2-3 level and its outcomes have been embedded within the training materials. This unit is a pre requisite for the other units in this training package.
CPCCPB3014A Install Batt insulation products provides coverage for only Batt insulation*(see Acoustic and Thermal EPS). Its outcomes have been embedded within the training materials provided.
CPCCM1006A Work Safely at Heights provides coverage of the required knowledge for working safely at heights. It has application to a wide range of work situations where workers are placed in a position from which falls are possible.

There is additional Training provided on Acoustic and Thermal EPS which has been embedded within the training materials provided.

Course Requirements
Be able to read and write Basic English (Workplace Health & Safety Requirement).
Appropriate clothing including hat and sturdy footwear required.
Holding a White card CPCCOHS1001A Work Safety in the Construction industry issued by a Registered Training Organization is a pre requisite.
